About Fostering Hope in Scott County

Fostering Hope in Scott County was created to provide resources, support, belongings and a community for local Foster Families in the Quad City area.  We are a volunteer run organization built by Foster Families for Foster Families.

Our Purpose- We are on a mission to help foster children and foster families in the Scott County and surrounding areas.

Currently led and operated by two foster Moms with occasional volunteers. We both lead crazy busy lives with a combined 13 children between us. Though it's tough to find time, we do because it is incredibly important. We are hoping to alleviate some of the stress of trying to gather resources after a removal or during the term of being in foster care. We want to give children back some ownership when being displaced from their families. The unfortunate truth is most children leave their homes with only the clothes on their backs. This causes 2 issues; one, everything the children knew or sought comfort in is now gone and two, each foster family has to scramble at a moments notice to fill that void.
